We are having lovely sunny days here in Brighton, especially this weekend just gone. The sun decided to shine both days so I was out on the beach, walking and enjoying the weather… Ok you got me, I also did a bit of shopping that I would tell you about it on a different post.
For the Sunday walk, I decided to go for jeans & stripes, as that’s always a good combination and I was feeling a bit lazy to think about other outfits.
I combined the outfit with my new prescription sunglasses and a red handbag that I bought in Venice last weekend (the post about Venice will be coming soon!).
Jeans from H&M | Cardigan from Mango | Striped t-shirt from Pull & Bear | Sunglasses from GlassesShop.com | Handbag from Venice but there’s a similar one here
I know it’s only early September… but it’s chilly here in Brighton. No bare legs, no sandals. It seems that Summer is almost over
I’m a bit disappointed that my favourite season is ending, on the other hand I’m excited to see which fashion trends this Autumn will bring. Camels, browns, ankle boots, hats, scarfs… which one will be THE trend? We’ll see it, but in the meantime let’s get some inspiration about what to wear in this weather:
Oversized jumper & boyfriend jeans
All in black leather jacket & knitted dress
Stripes & trainers
Oversized jumper & skinny jeans
Even though if feels ages ago, it’s been only a few weeks The Body Shop invited some Brighton Bloggers to their Summer Party.
The party was in the Seattle Hotel in Brighton Marina, a lovely place with sea views. We had tasty nibbles and drinks. All the bloggers as well as all The Body Shop staff were very nice, we all chat for a few hours and had a pleasant evening.
A beauty and a makeup expert were there too. They answered all our questions based on the type of skin we have. It was very useful and nice being able to have a one to one chat with each of them.
My favourite part of the evening was when Zoe Cook, the Head of PR, talked about all the coming products and new ranges. It was very inspirational seeing their philosophy and they way they work.
Last Thursday I had the privilege to attend to the Posh Totty Blogger Party. For those ones who don’t know about Posh Totty Designs, they are a jewellery company based in Brighton. They currently have three shops, each one prettier than the next… everything is so cute in Posh Totty Designs!
Well, I’ll tell you more about the party…
We got to the shop in Sydney Street by 6. I went with Lilla and Jess, which it was lovely as I’m still new to this blogging world.
As soon as we came into the shop they gave us a goodie bag and a badge personalised with our name and the blog as well. Not in many events they are waiting for you with gifts and knowing who you are. I must say that the experience was unique from start to finish.
There was also some very tasty food, from puff pastries to yummy sandwiches, macaroons and more. Everything delicious. The drinks great too – displayed beautifully in jars with black hearts and pretty straws.
I had thr opportunity to have a proper look at all the jewellery displayed in the shop, and I wanted to buy everything! They have lovely earrings, necklaces that you can personalise with your initial as well as candle holders and home décor stuff.
We also had the chance to customise a leather key ring or bracelet by embossing it. See how mine looks in the picture!
Culottes, what a trend, huh?
Last week I did a collaboration with Blog Behind the Look, a blog where bloggers express their opinions about celebrities outfits. I think it’s a great idea and “the girl behind the blog”, Laura, she’s very nice.
Well, I had the opportunity of commenting one of the looks where Victoria Beckham is wearing a pair of culottes. So I thought, why don’t talk about them on the blog? and here am I, writing about this type of trousers that seem to be everywhere this season.
Culottes are like skirts, but they are actually midi-length trousers. Very comfy for Spring and perfect for the warm (not hot, come on it’s England!) Summer.
I don’t actually own a pair of culottes yet, but it’s definitely on my wish list. While I wait to find a pair of culottes that best suit me I´ve been doing a little bit of research into styling potential outfits – I hope the following outfits inspire you!
