I wanted to share my experience the first time I had the Crystal Clear Beauty with Oxygen facial, but I completely forgot to take some pictures so I couldn’t share a post without images. What’s a post with no images these days?
I had the Crystal Clear Beauty with Oxygen facial done twice at The Lanes Health & Beauty, in the heart of the South Lanes in Brighton.
I found this salon while browsing online for facials in Brighton as my friend Pippa and I wanted to treat ourselves to beat the January blues. The experience was amazing so I decided to repeat it last Friday.
I’ve also been very conscious about my acne scars lately and I’m doing all I can to help it go away. This treatment has definitely helped with this.
What is Crystal Clear Microdermabrasion & Oxygen treatment?
Crystal Clear microdermabrasion consists of fine crystals that gently resurfaces and exfoliates the skin, revitalising dull, dehydrated skin and treating fine lines and acne scars (my new obsession). The crystals encourage the formation of new collagen and elastin, firming the skin and boosting cellular renewal.
The Lanes Health & Beauty offer a 30 min treatment called ‘Crystal Clear Beauty Flash with Oxygen’ that costs £40. That’s the one I had the two times I’ve been and I’ll probably have it again.
The results are visible from the first session, although I need to say that as the weeks pass through I can see my acne scars getting better every day. I will share my skincare routine on a different post as I think it’s also helping with my acne scars too.
Crystal Clear Microdermabrasion & Oxygen treatment step by step
Esther is the lovely lady who has done this treatment for me at the salon. She kindly explained all the process. I was a little bit scared on the first session, especially after seen those horrible videos about microdermabrasion on the Internet. Honestly, don’t look at them!
Step 1: Cleanse face and neck.
I normally go after work, so my face is covered with makeup. She cleans my face removing all the makeup using two wet sponges. They are warm and it’s perfect to start relaxing.
Step 2: Microdermabrasion using the Crystal Clear machine.
This is like a mini hoover in your face, it’s quite a nice feeling and sometimes it tickles. It covers all the face, concentrating on areas of concern.
Step 3: Gel & hot stones massage
After the microdermabrasion, she applies a gel to my face with a brush. The whole face gets covered with that gel for a few minutes. In the meantime, the therapist gives you a massage and places hot stones under the shoulders. I love the massage with the hot stones!
Step 4: The oxygen.
She removes the gel using oxygen, it’s similar to the hoover feeling but with blowing air instead.
Step 5: Moisturise.
Once all the gel is all gone, it’s time to moisturise with a massage. Bliss.
If you are around Brighton and want to treat yourself or someone as a gift, I highly recommend it.
Love & beauty or was it peace & love?
