Yes, the time has arrived and I’m in front of my laptop with an empty page thinking about what and how to write my first post… I’m feeling fear…
I have decided to talk a little about myself so you can get to know me a bit better.
I’m from a seaside city called Denia, in Alicante (Spain). I lived there till I went to uni but my whole family still lives there. Going to Denia in summer is a must for me and I try to go as often as I can to visit family and friends. Denia is an amazing summer city due to its warm weather, beautiful sandy and rocky beaches and characteristic coast.
My parents love anything that involves the sea, and that’s why my name means “sea” in Spanish; it’s not very popular but I kind of like it! Oh! My sister has also a sea-related name…. Estela, which means “the trail of a boat in the sea”.
I don’t own any pets but I grew up with turtles in my garden. One of them, the female, is bigger than my sister’s puppy!!! One summer, on my mums birthday, we found little tortoises on the garden and we built a terrarium for them. They were so cute.
Before moving to the UK I started to study Fashion Design but I got a job offer here in Brighton and I never finished it. This is one of those pending things in my life and I must say that even though drawing was not my best quality, at some point I ended up enjoying it.
The school I went to was a different from others because was based on dialogue and understanding, standing out from the standard Spanish education. There were only 20 students in a class and we had a very close relationship with the staff members, we were all a big family.
I have a very VERY best friend who is like my sister. We went to the same school, uni and even did the same degree… while living together. We also went on Erasmus (a European scholarship) together in the same city.
In the last year of uni I got a scholarship and I lived in Helsinki for 5 months. I arrived in August and it was almost always day time but when it got to October, we hardly had day light. Living with hardly natural light was a bit strange, but the whole experience was amazing.
8 is my fav and lucky number… and my lovely boyfriend’s bday.
I hope you enjoyed the post and please feel free to share some things about you.
