Pro:Voke Touch of silver brightening shampoo and conditioner – Review

A month or so ago, Jess, from Girlycopyright (beauty and hair blogger), recommended me to try the Pro:Voke Touch of Silver shampoo and conditioner as I was moaning about my hair not being shiny. Her expertise in hair convinced me to give it a try.

The products I’ve been using are: the twice a week shampoo and the daily conditioner. I can really tell the difference after a month.

Pro:Voke - Touch of Silver Review

I have highlighted hair with different brunette and blonde tones. However, I haven’t been in a hair salon since Christmas, so the colour was fading and becoming too warm and yellow due to the lack of sun during the Winter.

I wanted something to make my hair go colder blond, whiter and less yellow, and at the same time, give it a shine buzz.

The colours are still a bit yellow-redish but my hair is definitely shinier than when I started using it, even though you can’t really tell on the pictures – sorry I’m a bit new in the blogging world and I didn’t realise how important is to take a picture before you start using a product like this one (at least if you are thinking of doing a review anyway).

Why I like using Pro:Voke Touch of silver treatment

  • It gives volume to my hair
  • My hair stays cleaner for longer (I normally wash my hair daily but with this shampoo it lasts two days!)
  • It dries my hair, which is good for greasy hair like mine
  • Makes my hair shinier
  • The conditioner has made my hair ends look healthier

The only downside is that you have to leave it on for 5 min to get better results. It is not recommended in the mornings when you are running a bit late :-)

Also, the colour of my hair hasn’t changed that much but it has other benefits.

It might be a bit scary when you use it for the first time, as it’s a deep purple colour. But don’t you worry, your hair won’t look purple like the angry Minion!

Have you tried any Touch of silver treatments? What do you think?
